Join us in building digital tools that empower citizens and strengthen democracy.
We’re a mission-driven team developing technology to support participatory democracy at local, regional, and national levels. Our platform helps governments and communities co-create policies, run deliberative processes, and make collective decisions in a transparent, inclusive way.
We are recent graduates of the CivTech program, where we partnered with the Scottish Government to develop a new participatory democracy platform aimed at improving public engagement in policy making. In this role, you’ll contribute to building and refining that platform, tailoring it for other clients, and supporting bespoke projects based on client needs.
We're looking for a Mid-to-Senior Frontend Engineer to help us build intuitive, accessible, and beautifully designed interfaces that make democratic participation easier and more impactful for everyone.
Build and maintain modern, responsive UIs using Svelte and SvelteKit
Translate complex civic processes into simple, usable workflows
Collaborate with product, design, and policy experts to build tools with real-world social impact
Help define the frontend architecture and influence product direction
Ensure our platform is accessible, scalable, and performs well across devices
3–4 years of professional frontend development experience
Strong skills in JavaScript/TypeScript, semantic HTML, and CSS
Hands-on experience with Svelte and SvelteKit in production environments
Comfort working collaboratively in a cross-functional, agile team
A passion for building user-friendly products that serve the public good
UI/UX design skills – the ability to create and implement design systems and visual interfaces
Experience with design tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, etc.)
Knowledge of accessibility and inclusive design principles
Prior experience working on civic tech, public sector, or social impact projects
